We restored the Saarinen designed glass bank, a National Historic Landmark, with white gloves. I led the team as Director of Architecture for Cummins. In the 1950s, the CEO of Cummins, J. Irwin Miller hired Eero to think outside the box for a new way to address the banking customer experience.
Fast forward to 2014, post economic crash, the bank had lost its business and we repurposed the facility after acquiring it out of bankruptcy into a center hub for the City and business.
Dressed in all white, and with many of the original designers from Eero's company and friends, I designed the restoration with our design partners at Todd Wiliams, Axis Architecture, Venn Integration and Exhibitz.
